Health & Safety Policy
Policy Statement:
BrightNest Care Solutions Ltd is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, clients, contractors, and visitors. We aim to provide safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of and to prevent accidents and work-related ill health.
Responsibilities:
- Management will provide information, training, and supervision needed for safety.
- Employees must take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others.
- All staff are expected to report hazards, near misses, and unsafe practices immediately.
Procedures:
- Risk assessments will be carried out for all activities and reviewed regularly.
- Cleaning materials will be handled in line with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn where required.
- Fire and emergency procedures will be communicated and practiced. – Accidents and incidents will be recorded and investigated promptly.
Training & Monitoring:
- Staff will receive training on health & safety, safeguarding, and safe handling of cleaning equipment/chemic- Policies will be reviewed annually or when significant changes occur.

Safeguarding Policy
Policy Statement:
BrightNest Care Solutions Ltd is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young pe and vulnerable adults. We have a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
Key Principles:
- All staff will undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training.
- We will maintain a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to oversee concerns and reporting.
- Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility – all concerns must be reported immediately.
Procedures:
- Recognise and report signs of abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, neglect, exploitation).
- Disclosures will be recorded factually and reported to the DSL without delay.
- The DSL will escalate concerns to the Local Authority, LADO, or safeguarding board as required.
- Whistleblowing is encouraged to protect children and vulnerable adults.
